My cameras say ‘Invalid user name or password’, how do I fix this?

If the live feed for your camera displays the message “Invalid user name or password” then the camera does not have the correct credentials to connect to the NVR. This can be caused by changing the NVR’s password without updating the cameras.

To resolve this issue, open the Main Menu on the Live Feed and navigate to Camera > Camera List > Camera List

The lower pane lists the cameras that are currently connected to your system.

The camera that is having the issue will have an orange/red status light.
Click the pencil icon for this camera under the Edit header.
Edit the password to match your NVR’s password, click Connect, then click OK.
If the password is correct the status light should change to green shortly.

If this does not resolve the issue your best bet is factory resetting your camera:


If the camera is connected directly to the NVR it should start working as soon as the factory reset is complete.

If the camera is plugged into a POE switch it will need re-initialized and added before it will begin to work again:
